Before the world sped up, this is how we cared for ourselves

There’s a strange and interesting thing happening lately.

As life becomes busier, noisier, and more digital, many of us are finding comfort in the things that once seemed so ordinary—like holding a bar of soap in our hands.

It wasn’t that long ago that soap was part of the fabric of daily life. It sat, beautifully wrapped, in linen cupboards. It lived beside bathroom basins on ceramic dishes. It carried the scent of warm summers, clean sheets, and the people who cared for us.

Soap wasn’t just soap, it was care...and caring for yourself.

Today, everything moves faster. We swipe, tap, rush, multitask. Even our self-care routines have turned into things we try to “optimise.”

But before the world sped up, caring for ourselves looked very different. It was slow. Simple. Comfortingly predictable.

A bar of soap didn’t require instructions or apps. It created a moment as the fragrance bloomed in warm water.

At RabbitRabbit, we created our range to bring that feeling back. To remind you of the textures, fragrances, and quiet moments that seem to have passed.

Basil & Neroli - memories of early morning gardens and crisp cotton.
Gardenia -  with its rich, sultry floral fragrance and a feeling of opulence
Lime Basil & Mandarin - sparkle and energy reminiscent of the 80's
Sandalwood, Cedar & Bergamot - wraps you in something warm, familiar, and enduring.

And perhaps that’s what many of us are craving now: not more, but less.
Not new, but familiar.
Not speed, but stillness.

Self-care doesn’t need to be complicated.
Sometimes, the most beautiful rituals are the simplest ones—the ones we grew up with, the ones we almost forgot, and the ones worth bringing back.

Before the world sped up, this is how we cared for ourselves.
Maybe it’s time we did it again.
